Being A Leader With A Presidential Teleprompter

By Robert Ross

Human beings are social animals. They do not live alone. The fact that they are extremely social and collaborative is exactly how humanity managed to society. If not for that ability to work with each other, the bigger stronger predators would have hunted humankind into extinction well before they ever had the idea to settle down and stop wandering around the earth. But because they lived as a community, those communities have to be leaders. Now, those leaders have to do things like make speeches and whatnot, so they are going to make use of many a presidential teleprompter.

A president is generally speaking the highest elected office in the land. They are the ostensible leader of a country. The position itself is seen as the most powerful position that can be held in a democracy.

A teleprompter is like a screen. Their placement is generally next to a camera. On that screen, words are supposed to go by. Politicians are not the only ones who use them, as newscasters will often read from them during their broadcasts.

Most presidents makes speeches for one good reason. Because they are supposed to. It is one of the political duties that come with the office. They are supposed to speak to their citizens. It is on them to make sure that their populace has the information it needs.

There is a good reason to use a teleprompter. That would be because the speeches that are given are long. There can be literally hundreds of sentences and thousands of words in length. That means that it can take hours. Remembering a speech of that length is not something that cannot be done without a few weeks of time to memorize it, and a lot of times, a president only has so much time in the day to attend to that as well as their other duties.

There are certain risks that come with using one however. They are machines, which means that they can be compromised as machines are vulnerable to that. If they are compromised, then the words that roll by on their screens can be changed. So a prankster can hack in, rewrite the speech, and the president could get completely embarrassed on national television.

Now, it should be easy enough to use. Just program the speech in, turn it on, and let it roll. The fact that it has been in use for decades means that it must have proven its usefulness time and time again.

Now, it is important to have a speechwriter. This is because words will not put themselves together. There has to be a person who takes them together and then strings them into sentences, and then that person has to take those sentences and then hopefully form a coherent thought of some sort. Then a politician is supposed to read those sentences on live television. So it is important that the speechwriter be somewhat competent.

The thing about life is that it was supposed to be something that came with a lot of difficulty. It was supposed to be hard, quick, and painful. But humankind was so stubborn that it managed to get out of it.
